The only thing that works on my cystic spots
Since stopping my pill a year ago, I get outbreaks of subcutaneous spots on my jawline and chin every month. The kind of massive, painful spots that stay under the skin for days and end up leaving brown marks. I'd tried classic hydrocolloid patches but on spots that don't come to a head they're completely useless. I also tested anti-blemish pharmacy creams, tea tree essential oils, even clay poultices... nothing. My colleague who has the same problem told me about these micropoint patches and I ordered without really believing in it. First try on a spot that was starting to swell under the skin on my chin, I put the patch on in the evening after thoroughly cleansing my skin. Little tingle when pressing on it, nothing nasty. The next morning no more pain and the inflammation had clearly reduced. I put another patch on the following evening and the day after the spot was virtually invisible. Right I'm not going to lie, the patches do their job on subcutaneous spots. The inflammation reduces, the pain goes, that's true. My issue is mainly the format: 9 patches per box goes very quickly when you have hormonal acne. During an outbreak I use 3 or 4 at the same time and the box is finished in 2 days. I'd really like a bigger format. Other thing, you absolutely must put them on right at the start, when the spot is just starting to swell. I waited once until the spot was well established and the result was meh, it took 3 patches to get rid of it. And I've had a patch come off during the night because I hadn't dried my skin enough beforehand. In short the product itself works, I can't say otherwise, but I'm not totally convinced by the quantity-price ratio. I continue to buy them for want of anything better but I hope they'll bring out an economy format.
